MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's tennis team resumes Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play this Saturday when it plays at the University of Mary. The match begins at noon at the Capital Racquet and Fitness Center in Bismarck, N.D.
MSUM is 11-3 after going 2-2 in nonconference matches in Florida. The Dragons are 7-1 in the NSIC and trail Augustana by one game in the conference standings.
Freshman
Rachel Nguyen is 10-3 in singles while sophomore Lorrisa Yuen is 9-2. Sophomore
Julia Geske is 9-4 at No. 1 singles while junior
Olivia Keelin is 8-3. As a team MSUM is 58-24 (.707) in singles play.
In doubles Geske and Keelin have an 11-3 record combined while juniors
Alexis Konecne and
Emma Wood are combined 8-3. MSUM is 31-11 (.738) in doubles on the season.
Oliver Summers is in his seventh season as the MSUM head coach.

UMary is 12-2 overall and 6-2 in the NSIC. The Marauders have won seven matches in a row, including three straight NSIC matches in a row. Tasha Dembo is 12-2 at No. 1 singles for UMary while Jamie Stoppler is 12-1 and Yusra Hegy is 11-1. In doubles Stoppler and Danielle Wolf have combined for a 13-0 record.
