                     ST. CLOUD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's tennis team picked up its third straight win on Friday with a 6-1 victory over St. Cloud State in St. Cloud, Minn.
MSUM improved to 13-3 overall and 9-1 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference while SCSU fell to 5-10 overall and 2-7 in the league.
"Being one of the top teams brings its own unique set of challenges," MSUM head coach 
Oliver Summers said. "Now every team we play brings it and St. Cloud State certainly did today.  We did a nice job of problem solving and staying focused."
The Dragons swept all three doubles matches to earn the team point. Sophomore 
Julia Geske and junior 
Olivia Keelin topped Jill Kedrowski and Fernanda Dos Santos 6-4 at No. 1 doubles for MSUM while freshman 
Rachel Nguyen and sophomore 
Lorissa Yuen beat Sam Fitzpatrick and AnneMarie White, 6-1 at No. 2. Juniors 
Alexis Konecne and 
Emma Wood completed a MSUM sweep with a 6-1 win over Abby Scheck and Olivia Fredrickson.
MSUM won five of the six singles matches in straight sets. Geske beat Dos Santos, 7-5, 6-3 at No. 1 while Yuen rolled past Fitzpatrick, 6-3, 6-0 at No. 2. Nguyen and Konecne each won in straight sets at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, respectively while freshman 
Jalyn Kornblum rolled 6-4, 6-2 at No. 6 for the Dragons.
The Dragons wrap up the regular season against Minnesota Duluth at 11 a.m. on Saturday in St. Cloud.
