MSUM hits the road for their first conference games away from home as they face off against No. 19 Sioux Falls on Sept. 27 in Sioux Falls, S.D. at 6 p.m. The next day, the Dragons head to Marshall, Minn., to take on No. 9 Southwest Minnesota State at 2 p.m. The Dragons currently sit at 5-5 on the year, and 0-2 in conference play.

The Dragons opened up conference play at home against Wayne State College on Sept. 20 and also hosted Augustana on Sept. 21. MSUM lost both games, losing in three sets to WSC, and losing in four sets to Augustana. In the loss to WSC, sophomore

Kaylyn Jenkins each added six digs and two blocks. Against Augustana, Petrbok recorded 14 digs and six kills. Sophomore

Scouting the Opposition...
Sioux Falls
The University of Sioux Falls volleyball team is currently undefeated with a 10-0 record on the year. The Cougars find themselves ranked No. 24 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25 poll. USD is led by redshirt senior middle blocker Abby Feyereisen. Feyereisen tied a school record with a .750 hitting percentage in the Sept. 21 matchup against UMary. She also set her career high in kills with 16 in that same game. On the defensive side, senior Allie Maloney recorded a season high 16 digs against Texas Woman's University on Sept. 14.
Southwest Minnesota State
SMSU volleyball is currently 2-0 in the NSIC and 8-2 overall. The Mustangs remain at the No. 9 spot in the AVCA Top 25 poll. SMSU has been ranked in the Top 25 for 179 consecutive polls now. SMSU head coach Terry Culhane earned his 400th career victory as the Mustangs beat Minot State on Sept. 21. SMSU is led by junior outside hitter Angela Young, who led the Mustangs with 13 kills against Minot State. Young also recorded a career high 24 kills this season on Sept. 14 against Concordia-St. Paul. Junior Payton Hjerleid also makes an impact for the Mustangs, as she recorded a career high 27 digs this season against Tarleton State on Sept. 13.
Last Week's Summary...

Tammy Blake is the longest-tenured volleyball coach in the NSIC, in her 25th season. She has more wins than any head coach in MSUM history, and now is just six away from 400 for her career.
Looking Ahead...
Following the road games against Sioux Falls and Southwest Minnesota State, the Dragons open up the October schedule with an Oct. 4 home matchup with Bemidji State at 6 p.m. The following day, MSUM hosts Minnesota Crookston at 4 p.m.
