BURNSVILLE, Minn. — Minnesota State University Moorhead junior Gavin Baumgartner has been named as a Player to Watch according to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference's preseason preview released on Thursday. The MSUM men were picked to finish second in the NSIC's North Division according to a poll of the league's coaches.

Baumgartner was an All-NSIC First Team selection last year and led the Dragons in scoring. 

The MSUM men were picked to finish second in the NSIC North and received one first-place vote. Northern State was picked to win the north and received seven first-place votes.

The Dragons return two starters and nine letter winners from last year's 19-12 season that saw them advance to the Sanford Health/NSIC Tournament semifinals.

MSUM hosts Augustana on Jan. 2-3, 2021 to open the season. Those games will be non conference; the Dragons will play 14 NSIC North division games to determine the north champion.
