BISMARCK, N.D. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's tennis team rolled to a 7-0 win over Minnesota Crookston in action Sunday at the Capital Tennis Center in Bismarck, N.D.
MSUM is now 5-0 overall and 4-0 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference while UMC fell to 0-5 overall and 0-4 in the league .
The Dragons didn't lose a game in doubles and only lost four games in six singles matches.
At No. 1 doubles, senior
Olivia Keelin and junior
Julia Geske beat Latafale Niumeitolu and Ashley Smith 6-0, while seniors
Emma Wood and
Alexis Konecne beat Ashley Chomyn and Karli Renney, 6-0. Junior
Lorissa Yuen and sophomore
Jalyn Kornblum beat Athena DiMario Done and Samantha Hartung 6-0.
In singles, Geske, Yuen, Kornblum, sophomore
Stevi Parker, sophomore
Emma Andersen and Wood all won in straight sets. Yuen, Kornblum, Parker and Andersen didn't surrender a game in their matches.
MSUM will face Upper Iowa and Winona State on Feb. 22-23 in Winona, Minn.
"All our focus now will be on next weekend's matches," MSUM head coach
