BISMARCK, N.D. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's tennis team remained in a tie for first in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference with a 7-0 win over St. Cloud State in action Saturday at the Capital Racquet and Fitness Center in Bismarck, N.D.
MSUM is now 8-0 overall and 7-0 in the NSIC while St. Cloud State fell to 2-5 overall and in the league.
"This was a good confidence builder amidst some tough conference matches and the team felt. Good about how they were hitting today," MSUM head coach
Oliver Summers said. "We're ready to be tested on Sunday."
The Dragons won the three doubles matches to win the team point. Junior

Olivia Keelin beat Olivia Fredrickson and Shanna Kinny, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles while seniors
Alexis Konecne and
Emma Wood beat Claire Olson and Abby Scheck, 6-1 at No. 2. Sophomore
Jalyn Kornblum and junior
Lorissa Yuen beat Katherine Munterifering and Madison Gorecki 6-2 at No. 3.
Geske stayed unbeaten in singles with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Kinny at No. 1, while Yuen rolled to a 6-1, 6-2 win over Fredrickson. Yuen beat Fredrickson, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles while sophomore
Rachel Nguyen beat Olson, 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 singles.
Konecne beat Muntifering, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 singles while Kornblum beat Scheck, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5. Sophomore
Emma Andersen beat Gorecki 6-0, 6-3.
MSUM will face Minnesota Duluth at 9 a.m. on Sunday in Bismarck.
