MOORHEAD, Minn. -- In their second dual of the weekend, MSU Moorhead wrestling found themselves pitted against the ninth-ranked Upper Iowa Peacocks. The Dragons took a few matches in the dual, but eventually fell to the Peacocks, 34-9.
125-pounder
Clayson Mele helped the Dragons get on the scoreboard with an 11-4 decision victory over Upper Iowa's Colby Lopez. The sophomore registered four takedowns and racked up over two minutes of riding time on Lopez in the win. Mele now has 12 wins this season.Â
MSUMÂ would take the final match of the day at 197 pounds as
Samuel Grove won via forfeit. The senior Grove moved his win total to five on the season thanks to the forfeit. Against the number two ranked 165-pounder,
Jonas Anez picked up 10 escapes in the match.
