BISMARCK, N.D. – Led by a strong performance from
Madison Braun, MSU Moorhead golf finished up play at the Marauder Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. After 36 holes at Hawktee Golf Course, the Dragons finished fourth overall as a team.
MSUM finished fourth with a cumulative score of 725 across the two days in Bismarck.
The Dragons would open up day one with a cumulative score of 354. After 18 holes at Hawktree Golf Course, MSUM sat in fourth place as a unit.
Halle Balluff and
Madison Braun each paced the Dragons with both competitors shooting an 86 in their first rounds. Balluff had seven pars in her opening round including a run of three consecutive pars on holes one, two and three. Braun would turn in five pars, closing her round with a string of four straight pars. Both Braun and Balluff were tied for eighth place on the individual leaderboard following the first day of competition.
Regan Braun would finish her first round just behind her sister and Balluff with an impressive 89. Braun would collect three pars in the round and would knock in a birdie on the par five seventh hole.
Ellie Fischer would finish her first day with a 93 on her scorecard with seven pars. Playing as individuals,
Charmaine Haas shot a 95 with four pars while
Erin Summerbell would turn in a 96 with four pars of her own.
Day two saw MSUM shoot a collective 371 as a team to bring their total score to 725.
Madison Braun would lead the Dragons again by shooting an 85 in round two. The senior had seven pars in her final round and would finish tied for 11th individually.
Halle Balluff would register a 94 with four pars and a birdie on the par five 10
th hole.
Ellie Fischer and
Erin Summerbell would each shoot a 96 to round out the scoring for MSUM. Fischer nailed six pars with Summerbell also making six pars in the round.
Charmaine Haas would improve by four strokes in round two with a second round 91. Haas had a pair of pars and two birdies on a pair of par four holes.
Regan Braun would shoot a 101 in her final round with three pars in the round.

The Dragons close their fall schedule by playing at the USF Invite beginning on Monday. The tournament will take place at The Falls Golf Club in Larchwood, Iowa.
