GRAND FORKS, N.D. – In their final meet before the NSIC Indoor Track & Field Championships, the Dragons competed at the UND Tune-Up.
A smaller contingent competed in Grand Forks for MSUM as the team prepares for the conference championship meet.
Sprints
Elkan Johnson place fifth in the men's 60m dash. Johnson clocked in a personal-best time of 7.31 in the event. Johnson also placed sixth in the 200m dash, running a 23.85.
Isaiah Johnson finished in fifth of the same event with a time of 23.78.
Throws
Ben Oie placed fourth in the men's weight throw placed with a top throw of 47'-02.25". Oie also competed in the shot put, finishing fourth as well. He had a best throw of 44'-08.25"
Vaults
Nicholas Huss set a new collegiate personal best in the men's pole vault. Huss had a top vault of 13'-01.75", which cleared his previous best of 12'-08" set at the Bison Open.
Sydney Bahls registered a season-best 10'-06.25" in the same event on the women's side. Bahls finished sixth in the event

The Dragons will now set their sights on the NSIC Indoor Track & Field Championships. The meet will take place Friday, February 24 and Saturday, February 25 from Mankato, Minn.
