Peraza Leads MSUM at Bison Open

FARGO, N.D. – MSU Moorhead saw solid marks, led by a stellar showing in men's high jump by Jaiden Peraza, at the Bison Open. 
 
Sprints/Hurdles/Relays
 
Ibrahim Oduong would see a runner-up finish in the men's 400m, clocking a 49.21 time. 
 
Jumps/Vaults
 
Jaiden Peraza would own men's high jump, winning the event with a meet record mark of 7-00.25 (2.14m). The leap is a personal best for Peraza and stands alone as the second-best high jump in school history. Jasiah Hambira also logged an NCAA provisional height, clearing 6-09.75 (2.08m). Hunter Miller would finish in a tie for seventh in the same event with a clearance of 6-04 (1.93m).
 
Hunter Petersen would see a personal best effort on the women's side, marking a 5-03.75 (1.62m) to finish sixth overall. Kilee Bladow would also earn a personal best of 5-01.75 (1.57m) to place ninth.
 
On Friday, Leya Teicher led the Dragons in women's pole vault, clearing 10-08 (3.25m) for an 11th-place finish. Noah Novotny would register a new personal best on the men's side, clearing 14-05.25 (4.40m) to place third overall. 
 
David Daniels would leap 21-09 (6.63m) for a ninth-place finish in men's long jump. McKenna Schreiber placed 12th in the same event on the women's side, marking a 16-06 (5.03m). 
 
Throws
 
Jack Stewart was the top Dragon in Friday's weight throw, hurling 45-11.75 (14.01m). Kiley Kranz led MSUM on the women's side, throwing 43-03.25 (13.20m). Kranz tossed a season best 39-10.5 (12.15m) in shot put on Saturday. 
 
Distance
 
Chase Hoechst (8:39.69) and James Dorado (8:45.13) would each set new personal bests in Friday's 3000m. Hoechst and Dorado finished ninth and 10th respectively in the race. Seth Meikle (8:56.96), Zane Guderjahn (8:59.27), Janis Riekstins (9:00.34) and Luke Buentello (9:11.80) would all set new personal bests as well. 
 
Grace Dorsher would lead the Dragon women in the same race with a personal best time of 10:37.55, finishing sixth overall. In Saturday's 800m, Colin O'Farrell (1:55.54) would see a third-place finish for the Dragons. Rory Richardson (1:57.5) set a new personal best.
