MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Minnesota State Moorhead women's basketball has announced its end-of-season awards for the 2024-25 campaign.
Jens was an All-NSIC First Team selection for the second straight season after playing in 25 games for the Dragons with 23 starts. She averaged a team-best 13.1 points per game as well as 3.6 rebounds a contest. Jens was also second on the roster in total assists (73) and led the team with 41 made three-pointers. She scored in double figures 17 times with a season-best effort in her final game against Southwest Minnesota State (Mar. 1), netting 29 points on 50 percent shooting. Jens scored 20 or more points four different times throughout the season. She concluded her career with the 11th-most points in program history (1,339) and fifth most three-pointers made (147).
Johnson was an All-NSIC Second Team choice for the second straight season after playing and starting in all 30 games for MSUM. She averaged 10.8 points and a team-best 8.6 rebounds per game while shooting 55 percent from the floor, a roster high. Johnson logged 11 double-doubles during the season to lead the team, including a stretch of six straight across January and February. She scored a season-high 22 points against Southwest Minnesota State in the NSIC Tournament Quarterfinals on March 1. The junior had 14 showings with 10 or more rebounds with a season-best of 13 against both Hawaii Pacific (Nov. 26) and Augustana (Jan. 24).
Dana Weibel Offensive Player of the Year - Natalie Jens

Betsy Dickson Defensive Player of the Year - Ashton Safranski
Safranski played in all 30 games for MSUM while making 26 starts for a total of 861 minutes. She averaged 9.3 points and four rebounds a contest for the Dragons while also leading the team in total assists (102) and steals (87). Her steal total was tied for the league-best during the regular season. Safranski had 12 showings of double figure scoring, led by a season-best 22 points against Minnesota Duluth on February 14. She nabbed a season-best eight steals against Winona State in the NSIC Tournament First Round on February 26. The freshman matched the single-game school record for free throw percentage against Minot State on February 5, sinking 10 of 10 foul shots, matching her aunt Tracy's school record (14-14).
Jenny Thon For the Love of the Game Award - Tresa Baumgard
The Jenny Thon for the Love of the Game Award is given to a student-athlete who "prevails through ups and downs of a season". Baumgard saw action in eight games for the Dragons, playing in a total of 12 minutes...scored her first collegiate points against Fort Hays State on November 9.
Chris Falzon Coaches Award - Terryn Johnson
The Chris Falzon Coaches Award is given to a student-athlete who "embraces coaching and fights for our program". Johnson was an All-NSIC Second Team choice for the second straight season after playing and starting in all 30 games for MSUM. She averaged 10.8 points and a team-best 8.6 rebounds per game while shooting 55 percent from the floor, a roster high. Johnson logged 11 double-doubles during the season to lead the team, including a stretch of six straight across January and February. She scored a season-high 22 points against Southwest Minnesota State in the NSIC Tournament Quarterfinals on March 1. MSUM Iron Dragon Award - Natalie Jens
The MSUM Iron Dragon award is a yearly strength and conditioning award given to a student-athlete that competed, improved and motivated in the weight room throughout the year.
The MSUM Comeback Award is an athletic training yearly honor bestowed upon the student-athlete that returned to competition following either and injury or missed season. Wagner had missed the last two seasons after suffering a pair of knee injuries. In 2024-25, Wagner played in 24 games for the Dragons, scoring 42 total points with a season-high of 10 points against Minnesota State on January 17.
