| By:
ATLANTA, Ga. -- Minnesota State Moorhead women's basketball earned a 'Special Mention' as part of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Team Academic Honors. The Dragons earned the distinction behind a 3.63 GPA for the 2024-25 academic year.

The Dragons collected a 3.5 GPA for the fall semester and would follow that up with a 3.74 mark as a squad during the spring semester. Additionally, Natalie Jens and Abby Berge were named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Honorees. MSUM also had Jens, Berge, Tori Ratz, Katelyn Maciej, Terryn Johnson and Adie Wagner named to the NSIC All-Academic Team in the winter.

MSUM is one of six Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conferenc (NSIC) schools to earn either WBCA Academic Top 25 or a Special Mention. Member schools St. Cloud State (3.89) and Winona State (3.88) were the top two cumulative GPAs in all of NCAA Division II in 2024-25.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes college women's basketball teams across the nation in their respective divisions that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2024-25 season is the 30th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls. Teams having a 3.0 combined GPA and qualifying for consideration for the top 25 in their respective divisions are listed as special mentions.
