BEMIDJI, Minn. – Minnesota State Moorhead golf opened up the 2025-26 season on Monday morning as part of the Tracy Lane Memorial, hosted by Bemidji State.
After 18 holes, Moorhead sits in a tie for seventh place on the team leaderboard behind a cumulative score of 363. The Dragons made it through 13 holes before play was suspended due rain and hail. Pea-sized hail in the Bemidji area caused a 45-minute break in the action on day one.
"Overall, I thought it was a strong start to the year, but we struggled on the greens as a group," said head golf coach
Brock Ellingson. "We'll look to clean that up for round two tomorrow. The weather delay took us out of rhythm a bit and we could have been sharper after play resumed."
