MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Minnesota State Moorhead track & field gears up for the annual SDSU Indoor Classic this weekend in Brookings, S.D. Events are scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. on Friday and run through Saturday.

Peraza's Proving Ground...Senior
Jaiden Peraza was named the NSIC Field Athlete of the Week after a stirring high jump showing at the Bison Open. Peraza cleared 7-0.25 (2.14m) to win the event, marking an NCAA provisional leap. For Peraza, it matches his indoor personal best and sits as the third-best indoor high jump in program history. Currently, Peraza's jump is tied for the eighth-best in NCAA Division II this season and is the top high jump in the Northern Sun.
Presulme Wins Again...At the Bison Open,
Ahniesha Presulme captured another win in triple jump, marking a a 38-04.25 (11.69m). Presulme also tried her hand at multi competition, competing in the women's pentathlon. The Fort Lauderdale, Fla., native set another personal best of 9.18 in the 60m race, which improves on the eighth-fastest in program history. Presulme finished 10
th overall in the pentathlon with a score of 2712.
Rolling Like Rollie...Sophomore
Rollie Hanna would see a strong day on Saturday in men's triple jump, marking an NCAA provisional leap of 48-0.5 (14.64m). Hanna would place third in the event with the mark sitting just shy of his indoor personal best of 49-01, which he set last season.
Personal Bests Registered Again...At the Bison Open, Moorhead would see a trio of personal bests in the 200m from
Allysah Larson (25.70),
Cipriana Jones (25.73) and
Brihonne Cargill (25.90). The trio would finish sixth, seventh and ninth respectively. In the women's 60m, Larson (7.86) and Jones (7.88) would qualify for the final heat. Jones (7.82) would place fifth in the finals while Larson (7.88) placed seventh.
Dragons In The Regional Rankings...Moorhead's men and women were each noted in the latest regional rankings by the USTFCCCA. The Dragon women were slotted 22nd in the Central Region behind a score of 18.29. Pittsburg State is ranked atop the latest regional rankings on the women's side. MSUM's men were ranked 11th in the region with a score of 72.59. The Gorillas of Pitt State also topped the men's regional index.
