MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Minnesota State Moorhead wrestling will close out the 2025-26 dual season this Friday in a road meeting with Jamestown. Action against the Jimmies is set to begin at 7 p.m.

JT Finds A Zone...Senior
Jacob Thomas was excellent on the mat in MSUM's final two home duals. On February 6 versus #12 UMary, Thomas used an early score to claim a 4-2 decision over Maverick Mueller. Against Minot State on February 7, Thomas showcased his technical prowess, using a vaunted assassin maneuver to stick Roman Leifridt his opponent at 6:38.
Babitt Locks Things Up...After missing a dual due to injury on February 6, heavyweight
Liam Babitt returned to action against Minot State and did not skip a beat. The sophomore used consistent offense to secure an 11-3 major decision over Braxton Rance for his 19th victory of the season. Babitt's result was also his third victory via major decision this season.Â
Mele Style...Senior
Clayson Mele showed out in the final home match of his Dragon career against Minot State. Mele worked into his offense early against Austin Garca, eventually folding his opponent for a fall at 3:46. The results was Mele's third pin of the 2025-26 season.Â
Don't Sleep On Isaiah...Due to Babitt's injury on February 6, fellow sophomore
Isaiah Wright occupied the heavyweight spot in the lineup for Moorhead. Wright's offense was on full display against Aidyn Mitchell, using several single legs to rack up takedowns. By the match's conclusion, Wright had earned a 19-4 technical fall victory over Mitchell. The effort was Wright's sixth win of the season and his first technical fall.Â
By The Numbers...Babitt leads the Dragons with 19 victories so far this season, including a team-best seven falls. Velazquez bolsters 14 wins so far this season with a team-high five major decisions.
