AZUSA, Calif. – Minnesota State Moorhead junior Chase Hoechst kicked off Dragon competition at the Bryan Clay Invitational on Thursday in the 10,000m run. 

Hoechst dazzled in his morning performance, marking a personal best time of 30:20.41. The time helped Hoechst finish fifth overall in his heat of 31 competitors. Hoechst's performance also ranks as the fourth-fastest outdoor 10,000m in MSUM history.

Hoechst will compete at the Bryan Clay Invitational again tomorrow in the 5000m beginning at 9 a.m. Senior Colin O'Farrell will also run his 800m at 5:47 p.m. tomorrow evening in California.
