AZUSA, Calif. – Minnesota State Moorhead track & field was highlighted by performances from
Chase Hoechst (5000m) and
Colin O'Farrell (800m) at the Bryan Clay Invitational on Friday.
Chase Hoechst would begin the competition early on Friday morning in the men's 5000m. The junior clocked a time of 14:52.37, which is just over six seconds off his personal best time set last season. Hoechst's field of competitors had over 100 runners in it.
Colin O'Farrell would turn in a career effort in Friday afternoon's 800m competition. The senior finished at 1:50.55, an outdoor personal best. The Spicer, Minn., native now ranks fourth all-time in MSUM history, becoming one of four individuals to run sub 1:51 marks. O'Farrell's time is an NCAA provisional run and earned him 24
th place in a field of nearly 100 athletes.
