BISMARCK, N.D. - Juniors
Kristen Kleven and
Leigh Splittstoesser led the Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragons to a 3-0 sweep of the University of Mary Maruaders (N.D.) on Saturday evening.
Kleven led the field with 11 kills in the game while Splittstoesser had 30 assists with 14 digs.
Laura Tvrdik trailed Kleven by one in kills, with ten, she also had four block assists in the match.
The Dragons held the Marauders to a .026 hitting percentage, digging up 52 of their attacks. Splittstoesser's dig total led the team but was trailed closely by
Katy Ness with 13. The team also had eight total blocks with Tvrdik and
Mary Sussenguth each assisting on four, while the later had one solo. Kleven also had two assists and one solo.
MSUM's record now sits at 19-9 overall in sixth in the NSIC with a 9-6 league mark. The Dragons will step on the court again on Fri., Nov. 6 as they travel to St. Cloud, Minn., to face St. Cloud State at 7 p.m.
