MSUM will conclude its home season on Wednesday with a doubleheader against St. Cloud State that begins at 2 p.m. before traveling to Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston this weekend for twinbills.
MSUM is 12-25 overall after losing to No. 19 Winona State, 8-3 on Monday.
The Dragons were swept by Minot State, Northern State and Winona State last week while splitting with Upper Iowa.
MSUM is led by senior catcher
Brittany York, who is hitting .347 with five homers and 24 RBI. Sophomore outfielder/pitcher
Carly Williamson is hitting .337 with seven RBI while junior second baseman
Kristen Nordby is hitting .313 with five homers and 18 RBI. Junior outfielder
Kristy Bruni shares the team lead with five homers and 24 RBI. As a team MSUM is hitting .278 with 24 homers and 127 RBI in 37 games.
On the mound junior
Morgan Nybo is 9-15 with a 5.16 ERA in 137 innings. She has 88 strikeouts.
Kelsey Fehl is in her third season as MSUM's head coach.
About St. Cloud State: The Huskies are 24-24 overall and 10-14 in the NSIC. They were swept by nationally-ranked Augustana on Monday in their latest action. Jessica Goerger leads SCSU with a .368 average; she has five homers and 27 RBI. Alyssa Coletto is hitting .333 with seven homers and 32 RBI. The Huskies are hitting .292 with 20 homers and 189 RBI in 48 games. On the mound Kelly Franks is 12-6 with a 2.80 ERA in 122.1 innings. she has 166 strikeouts for SCSU, which has a team ERA of 3.84. Paula U'Ren is in her 18th season as SCSU's head coach with a record of 583-394.
About Bemidji State: Bemidji State is 17-23 overall and 8-16 in the NSIC. The Beavers went 1-3 on the road last weekend, splitting with Southwest Minnesota State after being swept by Sioux Falls. Bemidji State will face Minot State prior to facing MSUM. Peterson leads Bemidji State with a .395 average; she has nine homers and 28 RBI. Roberts is hitting .365 for BSU, which is hitting .280 with 39 homers and 154 RBI as a team. Yost is 11-10 on the mound with a 3.14 ERA in 129.1 innings. Rick Supinski is in his fourth season as Bemidji State's head coach.
About Minnesota Crookston: Minnesota Crookston is 4-38 overall and 0-24 in the NSIC. The Golden Eagles were swept in doubleheaders by Sioux Falls and SMSU last weekend. Victoria Bayliss leads UMC with a .353 average to go with 10 RBI. Allison Foley is hitting .299 with four homers and 17 RBI. As a team the Golden Eagles are hitting .253 with 22 homers and 125 RBI. On the mound Bailey Braatz is 2-15 with a 6.49 ERA. Don Stopa is in his first season as UMC's head coach.
