MARSHALL, Minn. -- The Minnesota State University Moorhead wrestling team lost a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference dual to Southwest Minnesota State 24-16 on Friday night. The Dragons won four matches on the night, including one by forfeit.
After the Mustangs won at 197 pounds to start the match, sophomore
Jordan Magnuson won a 2-0 decision at 285 pounds to get the Dragons on the board. Sophomore
Cole Jones picked up a win via forfeit at 125 pounds to put the Dragons up 9-3.
At 141 pounds, redshirt freshman
Mason Schulz won a major devision over Jordan Biehn to put MSUM up 13-6, but MSUM didn't win another match until senior
Adam Blees won a 4-2 decision over Dru Kuchenbaker at 174 pounds.
The Dragons will be back in action on Feb. 10 when they host Minnesota State Mankato at Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse. That is Senior Day and also the regular-season finale for MSUM.
