Bison Open Results
FARGO, N.D. – Facing some Division I competition, the Minnesota State University Moorhead wrestling team competed at the Bison Open on Saturday in Fargo, N.D.
Division I schools Minnesota, North Dakota State and South Dakota State were among the teams competing.
Senior
Steven Abbott had a good day for the Dragons, going 2-2 at 197 pounds. His wins included a 15-10 win over Minot State's Shane Hansen and a pin of Minot State's Noe Garcia in 0:47.
Sophomore
Samuel Grove was 2-2 at 285. He beat North Dakota State's Dominik Vacura, 5-2 and edged UMary's Dominic Tudor 3-2 for his wins on the day.
Freshman
Clayson Mele went 1-2 at 125 while
Ethan Kiehm went 1-2 at 145.
Sophomore
Peyton Ringling was 0-2 at 157 while
Jake Erckenbrack was 0-2 at 197.
MSUM is scheduled to open its dual season on Wednesday at Concordia.
