MOORHEAD, Minn. — Minnesota State University Moorhead interim athletic director
Chad Markuson has announced that
Amanda Reckamp has resigned as the head softball coach. Reckamp has resigned to pursue other passions and pursuits inclusive of dog rescue work and joining a family venture.
Reckamp served as MSUM head coach for three years, including the Covid-shortened 2020 campaign.
"I would like to thank former Athletic Director Doug Peters for hiring me as a Dragon to lead the softball program as well as Coach
Christie Kopietz as the search chair," Reckamp said. "I valued working alongside them, among many other Dragons during my time here. I also greatly appreciated the support I saw and felt throughout my time by the Trailblazers. Their Dragon Pride is unmatched! I look forward to focusing on a couple passions of mine - family and dog rescue work - as I transition from Dragon Athletics. "
"Dragon Athletics would like to thank Coach Reckamp for her service to the department and softball program," Markuson said. "We wish her success in her future endeavors. We will start our search for a new head softball coach immediately."
