NEW ORLEANS – Both the Minnesota State University Moorhead cross country teams earned All-Academic Team honors from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, it was announced on Thursday.
In addition, three Dragon women's runners from the cross country team --- sophomores
Payton Lane and
Hope Pringle and freshman
Aislin Anderson – earned All-Academic individual honors from the USTFCCCA.
In order to qualify for All-Academic Team distinction, teams must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period and compile a team score at their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers. The Dragon women had a 3.48 GPA while the men had a 3.06.
In order to qualify for All-Academic individual honors, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-30 percent of their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.
