NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Minnesota State Moorhead men's and women's cross country were named United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Teams on Thursday afternoon. Additionally,
Jared Gregoire was tabbed as an All-Academic individual for the Dragons.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period and compile a team score at their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers. Moorhead's women bolstered a 3.66 cumulative GPA while the Dragon men held a 3.24 mark.
Individually, in order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-30 percent of their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers. Gregoire is a cybersecurity and computer science major at MSUM who finished 70th at the NCAA Central Region Championships on November 8.
