MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Minnesota State University Moorhead track and field teams will travel to Brookings, S.D., to compete in the South Dakota State University Indoor Classic on Friday and Saturday.
 
The MSUM men are ranked 17th in the latest United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association rankings, the highest of any NSIC team.
 
The last competition for the Dragons was the Bison Open last week. For the men, Sophomore Braxton Bruer won the men's 800 with a season-best of 1:53.65 . Sophomore Travis Joseph tied the school record with a win in the men's high jump at 7-0 1/2 . Senior Drew Mears won the 5,000 meters with a meet record of 15:41.32.
 
For the women, sophomore Ashley Hokanson won the women's pole vault at 12-6, which was the best mark in the NSIC this season. Junior Robynn Curry won the women's 400 meter dash.
