DES MOINES, Iowa – Minnesota State University Moorhead senior
Nadir Yusuf ran an NCAA qualifying time and set a school record in the 5,000-meter run Thursday evening at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.
Yusuf ran a time of 14:12.70, which was an NCAA qualifying time, and a personal-best, to finish in sixth in the unseeded 5,000m.
That time puts him in the top 30 of all of Division II and is the second-fastest time in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference this season.
The Dragon men's 4x400 relay will run tomorrow afternoon in the preliminaries at Drake.
