NEW ORLEANS — Six members of the Minnesota State University Moorhead track and field team have earned United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Athlete honors, it was announced on Wednesday. In addition the MSUM women's team earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Honors
To be eligible for the award, athletes must have a minimum GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must have completed at least 24 semester hours through the end of the semester of competition.
Seniors Steena Larsen and Rachel Schumacher earned the USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete honors from the Dragon women's team.
Sophomore, Braxton Bruer, freshman Elliott MacLennan, sophomore Ibrahim Oduong and senior Nadir Yusuf were named USTFCCCA Men's All-Academic Athletes.
The MSUM women were named as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team after posting a 3.46 GPA. Teams cumulative GPA for the 2021-22 must be 3.0 or higher to earn this honor.
