MOORHEAD, Minn. -- MSU Moorhead head football coach Steve Laqua and his staff have finalized the program's schedule ahead of the 2024 season. The Dragons will play 11 games in the fall with five contests on SCHEELS Field at Nemzek Stadium. 

MSUM will begin the season at home, hosting Wayne State College on Thursday, September 5 with the contest likely being played under the lights at Nemzek Stadium. The Dragons will travel for their first road game the following week in a matchup against Minnesota Duluth on Saturday, September 14. 

The Dragons will then play in their second consecutive road game as they make the long trip to Lebanon, Ill., for a non-conference matchup against McKendree on September 21. MSUM and McKendree agreed to a home and home series with the Dragons defeating the Bearcats 38-17 in the first matchup in Moorhead last season. MSUM will return home the following week for a game against Augustana on Saturday, September 28. 

The month of October will see MSUM on the road again to as they head to Winona to take on Winona State on October 5 beginning at 1 p.m. Minnesota State will come to Moorhead the following Saturday (October 12) for a meetup with the Dragons. The contest will also be the annual MSUM Homecoming game. MSUM will wrap the month with a road tilt against Concordia, St. Paul (October 19) and a home matchup with Southwest Minnesota State (October 26).

The final month of the regular season will see the Dragons travel to Minot State for a 2 p.m. game on November 2. MSUM will play its final home game of the season on November 9 in the annual Battle for the Axe against Bemidji State. The Dragons will close the regular season on November 16 in the Battle for the Paddle against the University of Mary in Bismarck.
