AUSTIN, Texas -- Four student-athletes from MSUM's golf and wrestling programs have landed on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team as part of the organization's at-large program.

Halle Balluff,
Charmaine Haas and
Gunnar Mogen were among the Dragons honored.
Fischer recently graduated from MSUM with a degree in finance and offered up a 3.97 cumulative GPA. Haas also graduated this past spring with a degree in integrated advertising and public relations, bolstering a 3.69 GPA as a Dragon. Balluff, a sophomore from Moorhead, Minn., holds a 3.68 GPA as an accounting major at MSUM. Mogen, a junior from Velva, N.D., has accrued a 3.94 GPA as a biology (health and medical sciences) major at MSUM. It is the first CSC Academic All-District honor for all four student-athletes.
The 2024 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student- athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. NCAA and NAIA Men's At-Large Academic All-America® First-, second- and third-team honorees will be announced on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. (The Women's At-Large Teams will be announced on Tuesday, July 16.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
It is incumbent upon CSC members to nominate the most outstanding student-athletes at their institution based on the criteria below.
Academic standing:
- Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
- Student-athletes must be enrolled at their institution at the time of nomination either as undergraduates or graduate students. Only the school at which an athlete competed in the current academic year can nominate that player.
- Student-athletes who have graduated from their own institution during the current academic year and are not competing in athletics at another institution at the time of nomination are eligible.
Academic eligibility:
- An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).
- A graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a grad student unless they are in their first semester as a graduate student and don't have an established graduate GPA.
- The cumulative grade point average may not be rounded up to 3.50.
