MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Minnesota State Moorhead track & field is scheduled to compete at the Bison Team Cup, hosted by North Dakota State, this Saturday. Events from Fargo, N.D., are set to begin at 1 p.m.

Moorhead Proud...The Dragons were led by true freshman (and Moorhead native)
Cipriana Jones at the Dakota Alumni Classic. Jones turned in an impressive performance in the 60m dash. Jones clocked a 7.80 to qualify for the finals with the mark tying the sixth-fastest in MSUM history. The Moorhead, Minn., native placed seventh in the finals with a time of 7.87.
Multi-Miller...Junior
Hunter Miller looked exceptional in his first heptathlon of the indoor season at the Dakota Alumni Classic. Miller kicked off the year with a 7.11 in the 60m dash portion, finishing third overall. The Motley, Minn., native also placed third in the long jump, leaping 21-0 (6.40m). Miller would see seventh-place marks in the shot put with a toss of 34-05 (10.49m). Miller would collect a fifth-place finish in pole vault behind a clearance of 11-09.5 (3.60m). Miller would place fourth in the 60m hurdle portion, finishing with a time of 8.70. To conclude the heptathlon, Miller would place second in the 1000m run with a personal best effort of 2:54.75. The performance earned Miller a fourth-place finish overall with 4717 points.
Eyes Opened...Transfer
Allysah Larson immediately made waves for the Dragons in her debut at the Dakota Alumni Classic. Larson would place fourth overall with a top result of 38-0.75 (11.60m). The leap is the fourth-best indoor triple jump in school history and sat inside the top 20 in the country at the time. Larson is now only one of four women in MSUM history to triple jump 38-0 or more.
Pemberton Paces...Transfer
Brandon Pemberton would shine for Moorhead at the Dakota Alumni Classic. Pemberton qualified for the finals in th 60m dash with a blazing mark of 6.95. Pemberton would improve on that mark in the finals to win the event behind a time of 6.88. The time for Pemberton now stands alone as the fourth-fastest indoor 60m in program history. Pemberton would also earn runner-up marks in the 200m dash, clocking a 22.29. That time is the 10
th-fastest in MSUM history.Â
Newcomer Shines...Another transfer,Â
Damazvia Dames, turned in a solid outing at the Dakota Alumni Classic. Dames would place sixth in women's triple jump with a strong mark of 36-05 (11.10m). The jump for Dames is the 10
th-best in MSUM history.Â
Top Tens Registered...Justin Jacobson would tally a pair of top ten throws at the Dakota Alumni Classic. Jacobson had a top weight throw toss of 56-04.5 (17.18m) for a third-place finish. The mark also placed Jacobson in the top ten all-time in school history with his throw now the sixth-best in MSUM history. Jacobson would also place seventh in shot put, hurling a 50-10 (15.49m). The mark is the 10
th-best indoor shot put in program history.
