MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Minnesota State Moorhead track & field is set for a busy week of competition with three meets on the schedule. The Dragon throwers will compete at the Viking Twilight on Tuesday beginning at 2 p.m. Moorhead will also have athletes competing at the Gary Wilson Invitational on Wednesday and the Al Cassell Classic on Saturday.

Jacobson's Major Week...Sophomore
Justin Jacobson secured three event wins at the Dewey Donat Classic last Thursday. Jacobson would record a historic day in men's discus for the Dragons. The sophomore won the event behind a personal best throw of 174-07 (53.21m). For Jacobson, the effort breaks the MSUM school record set in 2001 by Scott Wavrin (168-0). Jacobson's throw is also an NCAA provisional mark. Jacobson would claim another victory in hammer throw, slinging a 178-07 (54.44m). The Pelican Rapids, Minn., product would earn his third event victory of the afternoon in men's shot put. The sophomore had a top mark of 55-03.50 (16.85m). Jacobson's toss ranks third all-time in MSUM history and is an NCAA provisional mark.
Larson's Big Mark...Sophomore
Allysah Larson also had a historic day at the Dewey Donat Classic on Thursday. Larson would dominate the event, collecting a school record (and personal best) mark of 39-09.25 (12.12m). The effort for Larson surpasses the previous school record held by Hall of Famer Jessica Trautwein (39-04.75), set in 2005. The leap for Larson is also an NCAA provisional jump. The Jamestown, N.D., product also earned runner-up marks in long jump behind a personal best leap of 18-10 (5.74m). Larson's mark is now the fourth-best outdoor long jump in MSUM history.
Gregoire Hits Provisional...At the Bryan Clay Invitational on Saturday, junior
Jared Gregoire clocked a strong 1500m to begin his outdoor season. Gregoire competed in the evening's 'Invite' section of the 1500m. The Buffalo, Minn., native clocked a time of 3:46.47 to finish 10
th in his heat. The run for Gregoire is an NCAA provisional performance.
Young Guns Shine...Moorhead has several true freshman enter the top ten all-time at the Dewey Donat Classic. In the women's 100m dash,
Cipriana Jones would clock a 12.18 to place seventh overall. The sprint is now the ninth-fastest time in program history. Fellow freshman
Hailey Neumann would break into the MSUM all-time top ten with a strong showing in women's javelin. The true freshman had a top mark of 127-09 (38.94m), earning her a third-place finish. For Neumann, the throw is a personal best and is now the eight-best in MSUM history.
Colin Moves Up The List...Senior
Colin O'Farrell saw a strong 800m effort at the Bryan Clay Invitational last Friday. The senior finished at 1:50.55, an outdoor personal best. The Spicer, Minn., native now ranks fourth all-time in MSUM history, becoming one of four individuals to run sub 1:51 marks. O'Farrell's time is an NCAA provisional run and earned him 24
th place in a field of nearly 100 athletes.
Petersen Climbing...Senior
Hunter Petersen saw a career effort in women's high jump at the Dewey Donat Classic. Petersen earned a runner-up finish with a personal best leap over 5-06 (1.68m). That height is now tied for the ninth-best in program history and is an NCAA provisional performance.
