BISMARCK, N.D. --
Robynn Rolle-Curry set a new MSUM school record in the 400m to highlight the Dragons performance at the Mike Thorson Open. Rolle-Curry's 56.18 bested the previous school record set in 2012 and was an NCAA qualifying time.
Braxton Bruer,
Lane Dullum and the men's 4x400m relay team all picked up event wins today in Bismarck as well.
The MSUM women finished third as a team with 65 team points. The Dragon men finished second at the open with 123 team points.
Sprints/Hurdles
Mickalyn Babcock (9.46) and
Adla Serrao (9.5) finished fourth and fifth respectively in the 60m hurdles. In the 60m dash,
Shaquiel Higgs finished fifth with a time of 7.20. Higgs was followed closely by teammate
Logan Kletscher, who clocked in a 7.25 time in the event.
Rolle-Curry dominated the women's 400m dash, winning the event with a time of 56.18, setting a new MSUM school record. The previous record was 56.70 held by Kendra Mooberry. That mark was also over four seconds better than the second-place finisher. It also qualified Rolle-Curry for the NCAA Indoor Championships in the event.
Elliott MacLennan and
Kendrick Major finished runner-up and third place in the men's 400m. MacLennan ran a 50.72 while Major finished with a time of 51.04.
Throws
Darius Sechen led the Dragons in the men's weight throw, finishing seventh with a finals throw or 39'-9.75"
Jordan Nolan finished seventh in the shot put for MSUM with a throw of 45'-3.5".
Freshman
Codi Bunting threw a 35'-4" in the women's weight throw to finish ninth in the event.
Jumps/Vaults
Alyssa Ohm jumped 15' in the women's long jump to place eighth in the event. The Dragons had three competitors finish in the top six of the women's high jump headlined by
Mickalyn Babcock, who placed third with a finals jump of 4'-11".
Sophia Sowada (4'-11") and
Adla Serrao (4'-9") finished fourth and sixth respectively.
On the men's side,
Kade Larson took second in the long jump, leaping 39'-7.25".
Colby Larson finished fifth in the men's high jump with a finals jump of 5'-10.75"
Relays
The highlight of the relays was the performance of the men's 4x400m relay. The team of
Braxton Bruer,
Lane Dullum,
Colin O'Farrell and
Jared Gregoire finished with a winning time of 3:30.41, over a second better than the second-place team.
Middle Distance/Distance
Brooke Baumann ran a 1:46.13 in the women's 600m run to finish third in the event.
Lane Dullum took home a victory for the Dragons in the men's 800m run, winning by three-tenths of a second with a time of 2:01.29.
Grace Dorsher ran a 3:35.3 in the women's 1000m run to finish fourth. Dorsher took 10
th in the mile run with a time of 5:37.41.
Braxton Bruer (2:36.01) and
Jared Gregoire (2:38.7) placed second and third respectively in the men's 1000m run.
Colin O'Farrell placed fifth in the same event. Bruer would win the men's mile run with a time of 4:18.95 with Gregoire finishing in a close second with a time of 4:19.5.

MSUM has a pair of meets next weekend with the Dragons competing at the SDSU D2 Invitational on Friday and the Cobber Open on Saturday.
