GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Minnesota State Moorhead's throwers took center stage at Friday's UND Tune-Up.
Kiley Kranz paced the Dragons in Friday's women's weight throw, earning a fifth-place finish. The junior had a personal best toss of 48-11.75 (14.93m), which is the seventh-best performance in program history.
On the men's side,
Jack Stewart would also set a new personal best in a seventh-place effort. Stewart had a top mark of 52-11.50 (16.14m), which is just outside the top ten in MSUM history.
Ben Nyreen (14.89m) and
Landon Nicholas (14.87m) would finish eighth and ninth respectively for Moorhead.
Kranz would also lead the Dragons in shot put, hurling a 42-06.25 (12.81m) to place eighth overall. True freshman
Avah Cotton would collect a top mark of 37-07.25 (11.46m). In men's action,
Justin Jacobson would have a top throw of 53-04.50 (16.27m) to place fifth. Nicholas (13.14m) would place 10
th with a personal best effort while Stewart (13.09m) placed 11
th.
