MANKATO, Minn. – Minnesota State Moorhead track & field concluded competition at the NSIC Indoor Championships on Saturday. The Dragons were led by four conference event championships and 10 all-conference performances.
Moorhead's men placed second overall as a team while the Dragon women placed 11
th in the team standings.
Jared Gregoire was the meet's high-point performer, scoring 22.5 points by himself.
Multis
Hunter Miller would begin his heptathlon competition with a personal best in the 60m hurdles. Miller clocked an 8.47 to place third with the time standing as the seventh-fastest in MSUM history.
David Herath would sprint a 9.07 in the same event. The Motley, Minn., native would place seventh in pole vault before earning runner-up marks in the 1000m run. Miller's effort guided him to All-NSIC distinction, placing third with 5101 points. That score now stands as a new school record.
Sprints/Relays
Brandon Pemberton would collect All-NSIC honors in the men's 60m finals, clocking a 6.90. Teammate
Isaiah Tandoh would place seventh behind a sprint of 6.96. Pemberton would also place sixth in the 200m finals with a sprint of 22.10.
Moorhead's 4x400m relay squad of
Frosty Wisnewski,
Dylan Harris,
Colin O'Farrell and
Jasiah Hambira would place fifth behind a mark of 3:22.31. MSUM's women's team of
Christalea Wagner,
Liv Birkeland,
Brooke Bollman and
Cipriana Jones would place sixth with a time of 4:00.45.
Jumps/Vaults
Jasiah Hambira would capture an NSIC championship in men's high jump. Hambira had a top clearance of 6-09.5 (2.07m) for the title win.
Jaiden Peraza would place fourth, clearing 6-08.25 (2.04m). In women's triple jump,
Allysah Larson would collect sixth-place marks behind a top attempt of 38-06 (11.73m).
In men's triple jump,
Rollie Hanna would garner all-conference honors, placing third with a leap of 48-03.5 (14.72m).
Aidan Fitts would set a new personal best in the same event, leaping 44-07.5 (13.60m).
Throws
Kiley Kranz would turn in a career effort in women's shot put, earning runner-up marks (and All-NSIC distinction) with a personal best 45-0.5 (13.73m). The mark is an NCAA provisional showing and stands as the second-best indoor shot put in program history.
Justin Jacobson would also earn All-NSIC honors on the men's side behind a throw of 55-07.5 (16.95m).
Distance
Jared Gregoire would win an NSIC championship in the men's mile run for Moorhead. Gregoire marked a 4:16.70 finishing time for his first league mile title, winning by nearly three seconds. On the women's side,
Katelyn Kennedy set a new personal best with a time of 5:15.44. That time now stands as the 10
th-fastest in MSUM history.
Gregoire would continue his monster day in the 800m finals, winning an NSIC title behind a time of 1:53.20.
Colin O'Farrell would also earn All-NSIC honors in the event, placing third with a mark of 1:54.37.
The Dragons distancers were not finished there as
Jadon Boots would win Moorhead another conference title in the 1000m run. Boots clocked a 2:29.46 championship run, which is now the eighth-fastest in program history.
Ivar Martell would take fourth in the same final, running a 2:31.97.
Chase Hoechst would place fifth in the men's 3000m, marking a personal best 8:32.38. That mark puts Hoechst in sixth place all-time in MSUM history.
Lander Lahtinen would place 10
th in the same event with a time of 8:49.52.

The Dragons will now await selections to the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships which run March 13 and 14 in Virginia Beach, Va.
