Three-year All-Conference in football and outstanding wrestler at Moorhead State. Always recognized as a fine developer of talent and a coach who believed in building character as well as winning teams.  Coached successfully at Frazee high school, Michigan Tech university and Moorhead State University before becoming Head football and wrestling coach at Mayville State College
