Native of Halstad…Basketball and baseball standout at MSU Moorhead in in the 1960s… Three-time all-conference basketball guard, helped Dragons capture 1964-65 NIC title and advance to finals of the NCAA Division II Midwest Redional tournament…Two-time basketball captain, elected baseball captain as well…Collected 408 prep basketball coaching wins and produced seven state tournament teams in 23 seasons, guided Norman County West to a Minnesota State Championship…Active in regional sugar beet industry, served as Chairman of the Board for American Crystal Sugar Company
