MSUM's first NIC team champion in 1974 under coach Ken Bladow, which is one of 15 conference titles for the Dragon's men's cross country program... Mike Francis named NIC Athlete of the Year... MSUM had six individuals place in top 12 at NIC meet, all of whom earned all-conference honors: Francis (first), John Tiemann (second), Rick Cellette (third), Dave Chilko (fourth), Bob Berscheid (sixth) and Linc Woodbury (12th)... six Dragons earned All-NAIA 13 honors as a result of their placings at the region meet: Francis (first), Tiemann (second), Chilko (fifth), Cellette (sixth), Berscheid (seventh) and Woodbury (eighth)... Francis (eighth at national meet) and Tiemann (13th at national meet) earned All-American honors.
