Hall of Fame
A 1966 graduate of Barnesville High School, Fred was a four-year track letter winner. He went on to serve as head cross-country and assistant track coach at Moorhead State University and piloted his teams to nine NSIC cross-country championships in nine seasons, eight NAIA District 13 titles, and three top ten finishes at the NAIA National Meet. Fred was named NAIA District 13 coach of the Year six times, NSIC Coach of the Year five time, and in 1991 was NAIA Region IV Coach of the Year. He developed three national champions, twenty-five All-Americans and one hundred and forty-two all-conference performers. Fred is a teacher and former coach in West Fargo.
