Had outstanding wrestling career at MSUM...two-time NAIA national champion in wrestling...NAIA national runner-up...61-7-1 record at MSU...four-time All-American and three-time conference champion...went on to compete in the NCAA Division I Championships and in 1967 he placed sixth to earn All-American honors...in 1968, he placed fifth in the Olympic Trials in freestyle wrestling.
